Today we celebrate:
National Peach Melba Day – Invented by the great French chef, Auguste Escoffier, in 1892 at the Savoy Hotel and named for the famous Australian Soprano, Dame Nellie Melba, this yummy dessert combines peaches, raspberries and vanilla ice cream.

Make Your Dream Come True Day – We all have dreams and today is the day to work toward making them come true. Do you dream about becoming an actress? Audition for a local theater group today. Do you dream about becoming a writer? Work on your Great American Novel today. Whatever it is you dream about, take steps to make it come true.

National Rubber Ducky Day – Rubber Duckie you're the one! You make bath time lots of fun! Rubber Duckie I'm awfully fond of you! Today is Ernie's rubber duckie's birthday.

Public Radio Broadcasting Day – Today in 1910 was the first public radio broadcast. One of the few places in this world where you can listen to something without having to endure commercials.

Stephen Foster Memorial Day – I wonder how many of you know who Stephen Foster was? He was a songwriter in the 19th century who wrote "Oh Suzanna!", among other songs you've probably heard of.

To consolidate celebrations today, sing a round of "Oh, Suzanna!", do something to make your dreams become reality, listen to public radio, make some peach melba for dessert, and take a bubble bath with your rubber ducky.  Go on, you know you want to.
