Today we celebrate:

National Clam Chowder Day – We had National New England Clam Chowder in January, but today it doesn't matter if you like your clam chowder white or red. You can have one for lunch and the other for dinner.

National Chili Day – Who doesn't like a nice hot bowl of chili? Besides my daughter, that is. The rest of you can have some chili today and it doesn't even matter how you make it, veggie or turkey, with beans or without, or any other way.

National Chocolate Covered Nuts Day – Any kind of nuts, any kind of chocolate. What more could you want?

National Pistol Patent Day – On this day in 1836, Samuel Colt received his patent for a “revolving gun”.

To celebrate today, have some clam chowder for lunch, chocolate covered nuts for a snack and chili for dinner. There you are, no need to waste time wondering what to make for your meals today. This afternoon, you can celebrate pistol patent day by going to a nearby firing range and hitting a few targets with your pistol. Then, when you get tired of that, you can try shooting at the targets.
