Today we celebrate:

National Panic Day – Today is a day to be afraid. Let all your fears loose and indulge in a little panic party.

National Crabmeat Day – If you can't stand the thought of eating crab, try the imitation crab meat. I'm not a fan of any kind of crabmeat myself, but I'm told it's difficult to tell the difference between the two.

Barbie Day – On this day in 1959, the first Barbie Doll went on display at the American Toy Fair in NYC.

Get Over It Day – I don't know what it is you have a problem with, but today you need to just get over it!

Joe Franklin Day – Born on this day in 1929, Joe Franklin started in radio when he was 17 years old. In 1950, he switched over to television and basically invented the talk show. The Joe Franklin Show was the longest running talk show when it ended in 1990.

Genealogy Day or Descendents Day – Today is a day to dig deep. Unearth your family tree and dig out all the skeletons that are lurking there. Who did you come from? Who and where did they come from? Genealogy is a mystery and you need to start finding clues in order to solve it.

International Fanny Pack Day – Celebrated on the second Saturday in March, this is a day to remember when you got your first fanny pack. If you still have one, make sure you wear it today to celebrate.

To celebrate today have a talk show playing in the background while you start in on your family tree today. Start with what you know and let the mystery take you further. Then, put your Barbies in your fanny pack and head to whatever it is you might be afraid of. If it's elevators, hop on one and let your panic free. Then, pull out your Barbies because playing with them will help you to just get over it and go on your way back home to make a crabmeat dish for dinner.
