July 6, 2013

Today we celebrate:
National Fried Chicken Day – I guess it makes sense that this day would fall on the heels of yesterday's Chicken Wing Day. In my opinion, there really is no better tasting way to have chicken.

Hop A Park Day – July is National Parks and Recreation Month so on this day visit each of the parks in your area to see what special events they have planned.

International Kissing Day or World Kiss Day – This is a day to celebrate, and practice, the kiss. Kisses can be used to express love, friendship, greetings, respect, good luck and more. Different kisses are appropriate for the many different relationships in your life. Kiss everyone you care about today.
International Day Of Cooperatives– Celebrated on the first Saturday of July, this is a United Nations day that has the goal of increasing awareness of cooperatives. The United Nations wants to strengthen the partnerships among cooperatives, as well as between cooperatives and their supporting governments.
To celebrate today, turn your family into a cooperative and work together when you visit all the parks in your area to participate in the special events they have going on. Don't forget to kiss each member of your family periodically so they know they are appreciated and loved. Then, it's fried chicken for dinner.
