Today we celebrate:

Neither Rain Nor Snow Day – The U.S. Post Office legend says, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of nights stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” On this day in 1914, the New York Post Office Building on 8th Avenue opened to the public.

Google Commemoration Day – On this day in 1996, Google was created. It has since become a household word and is synonymous with finding out any kind of information.

Grandma Moses Day –
Anna Mary Robertson Moses was born on this day in 1860. She was what the art world labels a “primitive” painter because she didn't go to art school, she was a self taught artist who started painting at the age of 78 which is why she earned the name “Grandma Moses.”

Salami Day – I like to add a slice of salami to my sandwiches to add a little zest to the flavor. Have some salami any way you like it today.

World Beard Day – This is a day to celebrate facial hair. Do you have a beard? If you don't have one, and you are male, don't shave today. Maybe by the end of the day you'll have the start of one.

To celebrate today, google the best places near you to get excellent salami. Then if you're male don't shave so you can start a beard going today. Finally, wait by your mailbox no matter what the weather is doing for the mailperson to come and thank them for their excellent service.
