Date Nut Bread Day – We celebrated this day back in September
as well, I'm not sure why we are celebrating it again but it's pretty
delicious so I'm not going to complain.

Haiku Poetry Day
– A short poem of Japanese origin. It's a three line poem that
uses a syllable pattern of 5 syllables, 7 syllables and 5 syllables
again. Here is my attempt:
Winter snow is fun.
Sledding, sliding, slipping, ouch!
Is it summer yet?
To
celebrate today have some date-nut bread while you work to compose
your haiku poetry.
