Today we celebrate:

Another Look Unlimited Day - This day is all about reducing the amount of garbage we dump in our landfills. Take another look at everything  you own and no longer need. Maybe it can be donated to someone or to an organization that will do something good with it. Maybe it can be reused and given a new life with a new purpose. I just helped clean out the house of a hoarder. I’m begging you. Examine your possessions. Get the stuff you don’t need out of your house in some way. It’s best to donate to someone in need as long as it’s still good quality and not expired or eaten by mice. If it’s no longer good, throw it away. If you have to get a dumpster, GET A DUMPSTER!

National Coffee Ice Cream Day - I love coffee ice cream and have for a long time. Even as a kid I loved it even though I couldn’t stand the taste of coffee itself.

Stillbirth Remembrance Day - This is a day to remember and hold in our hearts the stillborn babies of the world. Even in this great country, thousands of babies are stillborn every year. It is so heartbreaking for so many families who are eagerly awaiting the birth of their already beloved baby. To have to go home with empty arms is a pain that is beyond words. My heart goes out to each and every one of them.

Fight Procrastination Day – Are you a procrastinator? I procrastinate when it comes to cleaning things (since I do not enjoy that kind of activity) but not about things that are important to me. I imagine that most people are like that. Well, today is a day to fight that natural inclination and buckle down and get done whatever you need to get done.

Read A Book Day – This is a day to sit down with a good book and read. I know that sometimes it's hard to find time to do that but it's important to expand your horizons and to relax into another world sometimes.

Barbie Doll Day - On this day in 1959, the first Barbie doll was sold by Mattel. She wore a black and white striped bathing suit. The girls went wild and she was a hit. Barbie was invented by Ruth Handler who named the doll after her daughter, Barbara.

Great Egg Toss Day - On this day in 1981, Risto Antikainen threw an egg 317 feet, 10 inches. It was then caught by Jyrki Korhonen and it didn’t break, which is absolutely amazing.
