Today we celebrate:

Bridge Day – Celebrated on the third Saturday in October, this day celebrates the completion of the New River Gorge Bridge. It's a four lane bridge that was finished in 1977 but on this day, cars are not allowed on it, only pedestrians.

Evaluate Your Life Day – This is a day to look at your life very carefully. Are you working toward achieving your goals, are you a good person, are you depressed and need to make some positive changes? Be brutally honest with yourself and be prepared to change things that need to be changed.

Sweetest Day – This day is also celebrated on the third Saturday in October. It is a day to remember friends, co-workers, family, and anyone else who has been kind and/or helpful to you with a piece of candy. It was first celebrated in 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio.

National Seafood Bisque Day – Creamy and delicious. Try your hand at making some today.

To celebrate today, walk over a bridge while you contemplate your life. Then, pass out candy to everyone you find helpful and have some seafood bisque for dinner.
