Today we celebrate:

National Christmas Tree Day - Created by Jace Shoemaker-Galloway, this is a day to put up your Christmas tree for those who celebrate the holiday of Christmas. Many people go out and cut down a real tree, tie it to the roof of their car, bring it back to their home, put it in a stand, set it up in the living room, and decorate it with lights, garland, ornaments, and tinsel. Others, drag a box out of the attic, basement or closet, bring out the flattened branches of an artificial tree, fluff them up stick them into a post, set it in the living room, and decorate it as described above. Do you prefer a real tree or an artificial tree? We usually have a real tree, but we own an artificial tree for those years when we just don’t have time to go out and get a real one.

Take It In the Ear Day - I cannot figure out what this one is all about. I suspect it has something to do with listening skills, but that is my hypothesis, not fact.

National Chocolate Brownie Day – Oooooh boooooy! Just give me a moment to wipe up my drool. I'll be with you shortly. No, no, you don't need to come with me, I'm not hiding any brownies in my pantry. Really!

Pretend To Be A Time Traveler Day – This is just a fun day. If you are into acting and/or playing pranks on people, this is a day for you. Pick a time period to be from, dress up in clothes from that time period and spend the day pretending to be a time traveler from that time period. Be convincing. Talk appropriately, express amazement at modern conveniences if you are pretending to be from the past, etc. Do not allow yourself to slip out of character for even a moment. And whatever you do, DO NOT tell anyone that you are a time traveler.

Official Lost and Found Day - Celebrated on the second Friday in December, this is a day to spend a little extra time, effort and thought to search for items you have lost and to find owners for items you have found. If you think about your lost items carefully, and rationally, you may decide that you no longer need the item in question and you can stop searching for it. This day was created by Official Lost and Found Day at the this website.
