Today we celebrate:

International Talk Like A Pirate Day – Created by John Baur and Mark Summers in 1995, this is a day to talk like a pirate. Although it started out as a private joke between the two of them, they eventually sent a letter about it to humor columnist, Dave Barry, who liked the idea and spread it around. Dressing like a pirate is optional but encouraged.

National Butterscotch Pudding Day – I love to mix butterscotch pudding with vanilla ice cream. But plain old butterscotch pudding is pretty darn delicious as well.

Take A Loved One To The Doctor Day - This is a day to take care of the ones you love by making sure they are healthy. Take them to the doctor for a checkup so if there are any problems that need to be taken care of, you will know about them. This includes all doctors and all aspects of health, even your teeth which far too many people think far too little about. This day is celebrated on the third Tuesday of September.

National Woman Road Warrior Day – Road Warriors are people who travel for a living. This day is celebrated on the fourth Tuesday in September by some and September 19th by others, and honors the traveling businesswomen. Women road warriors often find it a more difficult way of life than the men do because they suffer from the guilt of leaving behind sick children and other family obligations more than men typically do.
